Managing in an Uncertain Economy

There is no crystal ball, but forecasting is the next best thing you can do to predict your business’s economic future. ECIA is offering members a FREE monthly interview-style presentation series to help plan during these unpredictable times. Join economist and forecasting expert Alex Chausovsky, Senior Business Advisor, ITR Economics, who will provide data and analysis on what to expect for the remainder of the year and Q1 2021

Program Format:

All sessions are 30 minutes and will start promptly at 3:00 p.m. ET. This series will be offered through Zoom and presented in an interview format. Sessions will also be recorded and available on-demand.

ITR will provide participants an economic update and share emerging trends for the first 7-10 minutes. The last 15-20 minutes will be will be reserved to answer questions from participating attendees. ECIA members can submit questions for consideration.

Alex Chausovsky, Senior Business Advisor, ITR Economics

Alex is an accomplished speaker and the Director of Speaking Services at ITR Economics. A highly experienced market researcher and analyst with more than a decade of expertise in subjects that include macroeconomics, industrial manufacturing, automation, and advanced technology trends, he consulted and advised companies throughout the U.S., Europe, Brazil, China, and Japan for the last fifteen years and has been featured on NPR, the BBC, and in the Wall Street Journal.

Ian Heller, Co-Founder, Distribution Strategy Group

Ian is the Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer for Distribution Strategy Group, a research, consulting, analytics, and thought leadership firm that provides marketing and strategic planning expertise to the distribution industry. Ian started his career as a truck unloader at a branch of Grainger and left fifteen years later as their VP Marketing. Since then, Ian has served in similar marketing and management roles at GE Capital, HD Supply, Corporate Express, and Newark Electronics. Ian holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and is a popular writer, speaker, and consultant in the distribution industry.
