Member Bio
Tony Roybal is President, Avnet Americas, for Avnet, Inc., a global technology solutions company. He is responsible for the broadline electronic components distribution and value-add business in the Americas and leads the operational support teams in the region.
With 30 years of experience in the electronics industry, Tony has a track record of accelerating top and bottom-line growth. Prior to joining Avnet in July 2018, he worked at ON Semiconductor (formerly Motorola Semiconductor) for 24 years, with his last 12 years as the Vice President of the Americas. Under Tony’s leadership, his region realized significant double-digit, year-over-year revenue growth and market share gains in the wireless/consumer, automotive, industrial and computing business segments. He has also been involved in 15 acquisitions, where he played a key role in the organizational, customer and product solutions integration strategy.
Tony began his career at Hamilton Avnet as a field sales engineer in Los Angeles, Calif. He currently serves on the ECIA Board of Directors and Distributor Council. Tony holds a Bachelor of Science in engineering from California State University Northridge. Tony lives in Scottsdale, Ariz. with his wife and two sons.
