Americas Regional DTAM - 2020

ECIA Member - Only Access Granted

ECIA is pleased to announce that the Americas Regional DTAM for 2020 is now posted in the “Stats & Insights” section at ECIAnow.org. (Members will need to log in to access.) Please note that this research is copyrighted and should not be shared beyond your company and/or in ECIA member discussions without written ECIA permission.

To our knowledge this is the first time that detailed research of this type covering the complete Americas region has been developed. We thank all who took the time and effort to support this research. In addition to the data from the survey, Budde Marketing shared highly valuable, aggregated data from their direct POS database by the regions that were defined for this research. The regional share in their database was also a key input in the process. Without these contributions and support, the research would not have been possible! We hope to conduct this research again next year to develop data for 2021.

Please contact Chief Analyst Dale Ford with questions about ECIA research and analysis.

TPC Semiconductor Survey Report

The most recent TPC monthly survey polled ~9,900 respondents. It shows continued improvements in C1Q21 growth and seasonality expectations. While C2Q’s outlook did moderate slightly, the seasonality outlook for C2Q continues to be much better than in the previous 4 years. The survey showed a growth outlook for C1Q21 improving versus last month. In addition, it seems end customers have become more comfortable with higher inventory levels. Click here to review the survey report.

Technology Partners Consulting, (TPC) provides independent third party consulting to electronics suppliers and financial services firms. TPC provides ECIA with a monthly report on a market trends survey administered by Glenn Hitchcock, TPC founder and president.

Did You Know? The Eric Max Fund Supports Youth Robotics

The ECIA Foundation supports the "Eric Max Drone Club" and the "Eric Max Technology Trailer" through a special fund in honor of the late Eric Max, a long-time ECIA & Foundation board member. At his family's request the fund was established with generous donations from industry friends.

The club serves middle school students as they learn to code, build and fly micro-drones. The trailer was instrumental in hosting 2020 VEX Robotics tournaments at several schools and partnering with Brentwood Academy to host the Tennessee State Championship. Congratulations to the students, mentors, coaches and parents involved in these programs! Click here to read more about this successful program. It's never too early to influence the next generation of employees and customers!
